Anne Pickett, a true pioneer, traveled from the East coast to the Lake Mills-Aztalan area to found the first Dairy Cooperation in Wisconsin in 1841. She proved the old axiom “necessity is the mother of invention” when the cows produced more milk than could be used by proposing the “why can’t we cooperate?” idea.  Learn her story as told by her grandchildren during the anniversary of her achievement.
